NEBO Shoes
So this is a funny one to do your friends when they pass out drunk and way better than the ol' marker on the face gag! We've been doing this one since we were kids in Arizona and if anything, its gotten even funnier as time moves on. Long live the legendary NEBO Shoe!!!!
NEBO demonstration by the homie, Mike Lenoir
Matt Schnurr shares his best NEBO story -
"My best ever was Mike Carrol's experimental Lakai. This was the only pair made of it's kind. He passed out loaded and I pulled the toe back and wrapped the laces around it super tight for a perfect NEBO. Then I soaked in water for 10 minutes and put it in the freezer till morning. He couldn't find his shoes and I asked him to get the bacon out of the freezer. He looked like he was going to cry!!! Tim Gavin and I were crying laughing. THE FROZEN NEBO IS KING!!!!!!!"
Jesse Garcia shares -
"THE AFTERMATH,SOME DUDES HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO WEAR THOSE MOFO'S THE NEXT DAY,WATCHING THEM FIGHT THE CURL ALL DAY IS FUCKING HILARIOUS! HAHA"
Jamar Parrish shares -
"If only Nebo knew how legendary his shoes have become. He's a fixture in pop culture..."

BURNSIDE Beer!!!
Here is an article from ESPN.com about Burnside getting a beer for it's 21st birthday!! Things are looking good for the the project except no name for the beer yet. Well I think it should be called "Blowing It Ale" a nice strong, smooth, full hop tasting brew. How about "Beat it Kook! Ale", Or maybe "DIY Ale"? Well anyway, whatever it is should be good and made in the same D.I.Y. fashion that Burnside skatepark was founded on. Cheers!

Legendary Burnside skatepark celebrated its 21st anniversary on Halloween night and to commemorate the milestone, a nearby Portland, Ore., brewery is busy whipping up a special batch that could eventually find its way to thirsty beer-lovers across the country.
For the past few weeks, Burnside's shot-callers -- Mark "Red" Scott, Chuck Willis, and Sage Bolyard -- have been meeting with the founders of Burnside Brewing Company. The 15-tank operation and its pub are located a few blocks east of the skatepark, and its brewmaster, Jason McAdams, grew up skating Burnside.
"At this point, you can definitely say that we have a love connection with the brewery," says Bolyard, who started skating and building at the renegade spot when it wasn't much more than a DIY concrete bank up against an existing wall beneath the eastern hallow of Burnside Bridge. "But we haven't narrowed down the beer itself, and we don't have any graphics for the bottle yet."
"It's something we're all interested in doing," says Jay Gilbert, a partner at the brewery, which opened its doors just 10 month ago. "Now we're in the process of wracking our brains for a beer style and doing some test batches. We're thinking something more aggressive, with a higher alcohol content and a full-hop style. And we're hoping by spring to get label approval to sell 22-ounce bottles in and around Portland at first, with [wider distribution after that]."
Gilbert added that the brewery intends to funnel some of the earnings from the sale of the beer back into the park, which recently secured status as a 501(c) nonprofit.
"Being able to pair ourselves up with such a legendary space is pretty special, and we think it'd be cool to get some funds back to the park for concrete patching and other maintenance," Gilbert says. "We basically would like to help keep it up and running for another 21 years."

STYLE POINTS
Mr Frank Atwater knows STYLE! He's been around a long time and seen and skated a lot of pretty kool stuff. One of his favorite trix are "Rock n Rolls" (one of mine too). Frank can do them no problem on just about anything and has been doing them and drinking COORS Beer longer than most of you have been alive! Here Frank demonstrates a proper "R n R" in the bowl formally know as "The Bethany Bowl" PHX,AZ sometime around 2007. Cheers to you Frank!!!

Ditch life
One of the best things about skating AZ besides all of the empty pools are DITCHES! We ended up finding this one within the city limits. A little tight at first and as the legs loosened up the trix started to flow. Ollies, tailslides, no complies, ect. Oh and a bonus slappie curb close by. Bottom line, skating at its rawest and super FUN!!! Turn on the lurk and find a ditch!!

STYLE POINTS
Just about anything Frontside will throw you into an instant stylish move. The first time I saw the Gonz do a f/s boardslide I instantly thought STYLE and that was like 25 years ago or something. Today, STYLE is everywhere and the leader is still the frontside board or Rock n Roll (my opinion) and to prove my point, here is Young gun, Clay Hunt proving that the F/S Rock is still one of the most stylish moves on a skate in an empty North West swimming hole. From what i've heard, STYLE will win babes!

Kanis is Growing
Well, the homies in Little Rock Arkansas are at it again! Adding more neat stuff to skate at LR's Kanis Park! Wrex Cook sent over some photos of the crew gettn down with some crete! By the time you read this the crew will be shredding some new terrain. If you haven't been to Kanis yet, then you need to put this spot on your list of "Kool Shit To Shred" as this spot has acquired "Legendary Status" and has been around for quite some time now. Most notably, "The Kanis Bowl" which has been around for over 20 years! if you're in the area, stop by for a mid day shred, lend a helping hand, and / or Donate.

SAUCE Cover Dude
Well as most of you know, by now, SAUCE is going to be out of print for awhile due to our crappy economy and going "On Line" isn't exactly how we'd like to keep doing this, but changing and adapting to the forever changing world is just simply what we gotta do. One of my favorite things about making SAUCE skateboard zine is the cover. Nothing stokes the fire more than a SICK cover of a homie ripping!! The reaction from friends when they see a cover of a new issue is priceless!! For me, thats the reward of this whole project! So now we are "On Line" and how the hell is this cover thing gonna work. Well, in loving memory of the Printed SAUCE we will continue to make new SAUCE covers that continue to feature homies doing what they do best, having a good time shredding!! Each cover will be featured as the cover to the SAUCE website serving the same good 'ol purpose as the printed issues (just reaching more people across the globe) So with that said, I introduce SAUCE skateboard zine's first Digital Cover Dude, Brown Ron and his mean No Comply to Tailslide at Tigard Oregon. Congrats Homie!!!! Enjoy the Wave of Stoke!!

The house was packed to see this new motion picture that features some young rippers SHREDDING everything in their path! Amazing skating at some really sick spots! Keep an eye out for this flick as I think you'll enjoy every minute of this jaw dropping presentation!!

Here is an old "check out" with the Arizona homie, Chris Farrell from what looks like sometime in the late 80s early 90s. Hell yeah!! Chris is still ripping Arizona today and can be seen doing so only during temperatures of 70-105 degrees. An Arizona legend!

Burnside Birthday Party "21 years fool!!"
Well another year has come and gone. This was another great celebration that went off and was enjoyed by all who attended (except for a few that didn't that were causing some trouble but was quickly dealt with by the locals) Wow 21 years!! Much respect is given to the homies who made this celebration possible and all the positive vibes to keep such a neat spot going for so long! Burnside, the longest running D.I.Y. spot to date with many, many more years to come!!! Here are a few photos of the friends having some fun! And as always, your DONATIONS are greatly appreciated!!!!
