Fresh Air, Good Times!

Ah, camping. A while ago a bunch of us went on a camping/skate trip in Northern Az. to check out Flagstaff and Sedona. The crew was pretty hyped and definitely sauced up when we got done for the day, so we pulled off in the pines to keep the session going. As usual, we spent a fair amount of time talking about the good old days and sitting around the fire. Early in the night I pulled out my camera, gave Wrex a light, and snapped this gem of a memory. If you get a chance, ask bakerface what happens to watermelons that get what they deserve; classic!

Dorfus is one hell of a guy from Australia. Super nice, loves beer, Loves his family, and is GNARLY on a skateboard!! I recently got hooked up with the guys at SLAM Skateboard mag, Australia (Thanx Hammeke) and they seem to love the stuff I send'em of their Ripper, Dorfus (thanx Jake!!). The only problem is that SLAM is an Australian mag, so not many copies make it over here into the states. So I thought i'd share with the USA. If you get a chance to check out a copy of SLAM, please do as it is one of the highest quality printed magazines out there! And if you get a chance to visit Australia, DO IT!! I hear its a great place to visit/skate. I hope to get there soon and ride a Kangaroo from spot to spot! (Dorfus f/s 5-0 up the rail at Burnside)

Saturday Street Missions

The weather is getting GOOD here in Portland! So it's time to hit the streets and tear shit up! Every Saturday is Street skating day with Shrunken Head. Anything goes here, anything, except for skateparks. The crew has been killing it! We've been getting some kool photos and video clips as well as sharing good times with the homies. Jimmy Moore is extremely talented, and a great friend. He rips harder than most of the top name pros out there, and can definately heat up a session with his 'Ozark' style heckling. One of those guys who can do tricks to disaster as well as going straight in. Here he is in this picture hanging out at a backyard bowl. Damn! He even makes that busted ass chair look good! Ha ha!
We miss ya' "Ozark". Get yor ass back in other peoples back yards!

What's Your Idea Of A Perfect Backyard Pool?

Lately I've noticed that the guys who claim "pool skaters", aren't into skating pools unless they ride like a skatepark. What's up with that?! Pool skating is about riding what 'wasn't' made to be ridden. To see who can grind the gnarliest part on an unforgiving hip, or trying to reach a scratcher as you go through that tight ass tranny in the shallow end!! What's your thoughts?

Lost, But Not Forgotten

I'm sure everyone has a story of the best pool they ever skated. I'm blessed enough to have a few of those stories to talk about. This is one of them. The Amoeba in D-Town Phx. This pool was definately epic!! Thanx Jimmy for the memories.

There's Nothing Like Quality Companionship. (Awwww.)

Hanging out with good friends at the park is what keeps me going. I look forward all week for these weekend sessions. As long as I have great times like these, Lifes gonna' be pretty sweet.
