roadtrips in a van or car packed with sweaty people and skateboards are easily some of the best memories we have as friends. even when there's a testy passenger, the laughter and heart racing as you skate something completely new to you is all you remember. don't forget the little details, like a hip you flew over for the first time or the teacup you sped into and bailed from your board in, or the waterfalls you learned to work to your advantage.... and countless other memories, like the lady outside the park washing her arms with stale beer from discarded cans in the trash. or the view from the backseat as you drove down the road wishing you had gotten a shot of that...the smiles you met along the way even if you can't remember the name. but most of all, how fortunate you were to make the trek. and survive. ok enough of the sappy crap, i was on facebook this morning and a lot of the status updates had to do with people going to beautiful places to skate beautiful things. and i was completely jealous. the only way i could redirect my negativity into something positive was to remember the places i've been fortunate enough to go to. here are just a few of the pictures i sought out...
